Made up of the ALNO core brand as well as the Wellmann, Pino, Piatti and Forster Swiss Steel Kitchens or ALNOINOX brands, the ALNO Group is one of Germany's leading kitchen manufacturers. ALNO produces a full range of kitchens for the German and international market at four international production facilities employing a total of around 2,100 members of staff. Working with over 6,000 sales partners, the ALNO Group operates in more than 64 countries around the world. In the financial year 2015, the company generated sales in the amount of € 522 million.
ALNO AG not only represents tradition and quality, but is also consistently working to further develop its four brands in design, innovation and modernity. Surveys have confirmed that ALNO is the best known furniture brand in Germany.
The company was founded by Albert Nothdurft in Wangen near Göppingen in 1927. The production site relocated to Pfullendorf in 1958. There then followed a period during which the company developed rapidly, parallel to the economic growth in Germany and Europe. In 1995, the then ALNO Möbelwerke GmbH + Co. KG was made into a capital company, its shares traded on the official markets on the stock exchanges in Frankfurt and Stuttgart. In August 2003, ALNO AG merged with the Casawell Service group, which was an important step towards becoming one of the biggest kitchen manufacturers in the world.
ALNO regularly receives awards for its innovative products. In 2016 these included the "Plus X Award" for the "Most Innovative Brand of the Year 2016" in the "Furniture" product group. As part of the Plus X Award, ALNO additionally received the "Best Product of the Year 2016/2017" and the "Innovation, High Quality, Design und Functionality" quality seals for the ALNOCERA kitchen. The Plus X Award is the world's biggest innovation award for products in the areas of technology, sport and lifestyle. ALNO was previously voted the "Winner 2016" in the "Industry Excellence in Branding" category. ALNO has won the "Superbrands Germany Award 2016/2017". This puts ALNO among Germany's outstanding brands in the brand dominance, customer loyalty and brand acceptance categories for the fourth time since 2009.
